Still looking for ideas for gifts AND want to save money doing it? Keep reading because I have  great tips to share.

Personalized Gift Ideas

My absolute favorite gifts to give are personalized gifts with a personal touch like products with pictures or special text from Shutterfly and personalized items from Things Remembered. Friends and family love gifts that are personalized in some way, shape, or form. It’s a sure way to give them something they really want and will treasure for their lifetime. There is always a smile and sometimes even a tear of joy that pops out of their eyes when they open a personalized gift. Now that kind of joyful emotion from a friend or family as they open a personalized gift gives me the warm fuzzy holiday feeling I seek!

I’ve used and loved the Groupon website for experiences and products. I’m going to share with you something I just found out. They actually offer coupons too. This is new information to me and I’m ecstatic about it. I am in love with this idea of Groupon Coupons! Groupon has coupons and promo codes for both Shutterfly and Things Remembered that can be used for discounts on their totally awesome products. I love Groupon everything because I love to save money and get what I want.

Amazing deals are going on right now. Some expire very soon so check out the links right now. Make a gift for a loved one or friend today to get these awesome discounts. They offer so many discounts and promo codes I couldn’t even list them all. Just click the links to Shutterfly and to Things Remembered to check out the discounts.

I used to wait for a coupon in the mail and set is aside for safe keeping. But then half the time I’d forget about it or lose it. The perfect situation Groupon now offers in the Groupon Coupons is that I don’t have to wait for a coupon to come in the mail. I don’t have to keep track of it either; I can just check the website.

I love that! I am a busy mom and I have too many pieces of paper to keep track of for school and sports, so I love that Groupon provides a place for me online to get the coupons without me having to keep track of paper.

Shutterfly Scrapbooks

Making scrapbooks with Shutterfly is one of my favorite past times. Every time my family of five goes on a vacation I make a scrapbook on the Shutterfly website. It is the best way to document our trip. I love how text can be added to tell the stories from our trip. I make a book and order it for our family. Then I use coupons and I buy duplicate copies of the scrapbooks so each of my three children can have the gift of a copy also. These books will be something we all keep for a lifetime. My kids will be able to someday share these scrapbooks filled with special memories of our amazing times together on vacations with their own children.

The fact that I can reprint a duplicate copy of the scrapbook from Shutterfly anytime is HUGE because it means I can use a coupon to make it cheaper to get copies for my kids.

I have also made scrapbooks of trips our family of five has taken with grandparents. This allows me to give a special gift to the grandparents documenting our time and fun trip adventures together. My mother-in-law has said she treasures when I make these books because they live out of state so she feels having a book of pictures with her grandkids is priceless. The other bonus is my kids will be able to look back at these books and see themselves having fun with their grandparents. They will have these books for a lifetime and the absolute beauty is if one of them loses a book or it gets ruined, we can order another copy.

So many wonderful scrapbooks!!

The other fun thing I’ve done with scrapbooks is to make a specific themed book. For instance I have made books highlighting of one of my kids over three or four years of sports, highlights in a year of Cub Scouts, or in memory of my pets who have passed away. A scrapbook in memory of a loved one who has passed on would also be such a meaningful gift idea.

Shutterfly Products

I can’t stop gushing about Shutterfly because I love it so much! I’ve made calendars as gifts. Mugs can be decorated with pictures. The multitude of products that Shutterfly offers is so amazing, there is something for everyone. There are so many gifts they offer in addition to scrapbooks including iPhone cases, blankets, home décor, gifts for kids, and any type of card.

The other reason I love Shutterfly is it’s a place to store my photos. What if we had a fire and my laptop became destroyed or I lost my external hard drive with all my pictures? I would be beyond devastated to lose all my pictures. But, since they are uploaded to Shutterfly this gives me peace of mind to know they are also in another spot I have access to. With the pictures already on Shutterfly I can also easily order prints when I need them.

Tip for Making Cards

I’m going to tell you the best tip. It’s something I do every year I use Shutterfly to make my Mother’s Day and Father’s Day cards. This is genius because it’s personalized AND it’s cheaper than buying a traditional card that can cost up to $5 a card. Shutterfly cards make a great personalized birthday invitation and thank you card also.

Things Remembered Products

Things Remembered is a company I love because they have gorgeous gifts that can be personalized. I have purchased several items from them online and in the malls.

We have a set of champagne glasses I bought from Things Remembered when my husband and I celebrated our tenth wedding anniversary. I wanted to make it relevant for every year so I didn’t put tenth anniversary on the glasses. Instead I had one engraved with “Happy Anniversary Julie” and the other “Happy Anniversary Dave”. The glasses will be relevant no matter what year of marriage we are toasting and celebrating.

Celebrations and special days can be recognized so easily with Things Remembered gifts. A special birthday or baby’s first Christmas on an ornament or snow globe would be a treasured item for a lifetime. I’m a big believer in the ornament marking a baby’s first Christmas. My kids each have two ornaments marking their first Christmas, one with a baby picture and the other with text of their name, birth date, height, and weight. The ornaments are so special to me as mom and truth be told the kids enjoy hanging their baby ornaments on the tree each year. It’s a fabulous tradition that brings on a feeling of nostalgia for me. When I see their ornaments I remember their first Christmas’s as babies. I’m sappy I know, but I’m a mom and I give myself permission to be sappy. That’s OK!

Things Remembered offers so many different gorgeous products. Their snow globes are so beautiful and would be a cherished decoration by a child for a lifetime. They have so many items to personalize. I couldn’t even list them all here but some examples include decorative signs, stockings, bracelets, bags, toys, baby blankets (my kids each have one), pens, picture frames, flasks, and clocks. They even have ideas categorized by who you are buying for like things for dads or grandpas, moms or grandmas, or kids. If you can’t think of an idea for that hard to buy for person, check out their site for ideas. I know you will find the perfect gift.
