I love the 4th of July because it’s only mid-summer so there is still a lot of the summer remaining. Summer potluck parties are so much fun and a good dessert for a crowd that is easy to make is important. This Easy No Bake Dessert Salad for the 4th of July is simple, quick, and kid-friendly. It is a crowd pleaser being that it is Red, White, and Blue and it’s sweet. It’s perfect for a summer treats table!

I like this recipe also because my kids devour it, plus it does contain strawberries. If I can add a healthy fruit into a dessert and my kids still love it, that’s a mom win! This recipe is lower in sugar than most desserts because it uses the strawberries and jello for sweetness. It does, however, contain marshmallows and whipped topping as well, but no other added in sugar, so it is low in sugar.

Easy No Bake Dessert Salad for the 4th of July Ingredients
This dessert salad recipe is so simple and easy to make with only 5 ingredients. The prep takes a little while to make because the Jello Jigglers® recipe must sit for awhile, but it is so easy and passive. Once the Jigglers are made and the strawberries are cut, it takes only a few minutes to make the actual dessert.
The 5 Ingredients:
- boiling water
- blue Jell-O® packet (6 oz.), berry blue or any brand blue gelatin
- strawberries (cut up)
- small marshmallows
- whipped topping
This dessert is fun for the Fourth of July because it is red, white, and blue so it’s festive!
Make this dessert salad the day of the party and prepare it just prior to serving for the best results. I like how this versatile recipe could be used as a dessert, or even served as part of the meal as a side dish because it contains fruit and jello.
First, make the Jell-O Jigglers® recipe. I make it in a small bread loaf pan so it is easy to cut the jello into cubes. The jello needs to sit in the fridge for about three hours, so I make it in the early am or the day prior to serving the dessert salad. Cut up the strawberries and add the marshmallows, cubed jello, and whipped topping. Gently stir and serve. That’s it! It’s so very simple even older kids could make it:)
For best results, serve soon after preparing.
I use the berry blue Jell-O.

Thank you! I love how festive this dessert salad is too, and my boys adore it! It has marshmallows and jello, which they love, of course, but it also contains strawberries, so I love sticking a fruit into a dessert! I love this salad for a summer potluck or BBQ. Happy summer!
Fun & festive idea for a potluck!
Thanks! I love the red, white, and blue for a festive Fourth of July party. This dessert salad is a crowd pleaser for sure!
I love festive food and those little serving cups are adorable!
I love festive food too, and so do kids. I love the little cups too, and they are plastic, so if a kid drops one, it won’t shatter;) Thank you!
