Teen boys can be hard to buy Christmas gifts for because they are still kids, but they’ve outgrown many toys. Yet, they don’t always want holiday gifts that are too adult-like either because they really still are kids. They want gifts that are enjoyable and make their lives better. When shopping for my own teen boys, I have stumbled across some fantastic finds so I’m sharing Top Favorite Christmas Presents for Teen Boys. I hope my ideas help you with your own shopping list:)

Top Favorite Christmas Presents for Teen Boys both Useful Ideas & for Fun: Over 50 Ideas!!!
Large Water Bottle for Sports & Every Day
My son had long, and I mean really long, days of football practice for high school football this past August. He needed a large water bottle that would keep water cold for hours in near 90-degree heat. We struggled to find something that would work that was also of outstanding quality until we tried out the metal water bottle pictured below. It worked amazingly well at keeping the water cold, plus I loved the heavy-duty high-quality product, an excellent bottle with a decent price tag.
I would buy this water bottle again and in fact, I plan to buy more for holiday gifts for others this year (my husband was eyeing up my son’s bottle). It is hand wash only, however, I really like to have my son drinking liquids out of metal rather than plastic. He loves the finish on the water bottle, it’s very masculine, plus he drinks out of it at home frequently. We both love the large size too which makes it great for sports (available in several sizes).
I also love how it comes with three different types of tops that can be switched out easily at any time.
Hammock for at Home & Camping
My boys adore these hammocks. They use them at home and while camping. They are a great way to relax and read a book or snuggle with a pet guinea pig!
My three boys have even figured out how to string these fun hammocks up around the house;) So, they can be used in winter too.
I love how the whole thing fits into the bag that is attached to the hammock (so the bag doesn’t get lost). When we were camping, the trees where further apart so we just used a longer rope from home to put the hammocks up at the campsite. I’m sure they could be rigged to hang off deck posts too.

A Good Quality Pillow: Regular or Travel Size
You know kids are growing up when they really want a nice pillow. My boys are in love with these pillows:)
We first bought the little travel pillows at the Minnesota State Fair and my boys adored them! They were a giant hit.
The travel pillows are awesome too; perfect for lounging on the couch and for travel comfort.
The pillowcases are available in other colors too. I love how these pillows can be easily washed as well (see package insert for instructions).
A back pillow is great for lounging in bed, reading, or watching a show while in bed. My boys use their back pillows almost every day. They are great for comfort when doing homework in bed and when texting friends. An ideal way to relax in their rooms after a long day of school, sports, and jobs.
I love how these pillows are easily moved around too so they could be brought into the living room to watch tv or play video games.
A Personal Weight Set
Many teen boys like to stay in shape for sports. Having a personal weight set at home is the perfect solution for in the offseason of their given sports or as a supplement in the sports season. Also great for kids who just want a home workout option they can do anytime. Perfect for non-sports kids to get buff at home too. I like the idea of a weight set that they can take to college and keep for life. A great gift!
Small Tool Kit
A took kit just for your teen is a perfect gift for the teenagers who love to make things or who are about to go out on their own to live in an apartment. My husband and I have enjoyed buying this particular brand of tools for many years…always top-notch products!
This is the perfect gift that is practical and something your child will use while adulting for years to come.
One of my sons also owns the 100 piece set pictured below. He uses it all the time to make things. Nice to have his own set.
A Cordless Drill
My son owns the drill below and has enjoyed using it. He likes to make things and even bought this drill with his own birthday money. It’s one of those great Christmas presents for teen boys that will last them for years. Perfect for kids who like to make things or kids about to move out on their own. Plus, it is an affordable gift.
Something simple and small yet used almost every day by my boys, in-ear headphones always make a great gift.
New Sports Gear
New sports gear is always a love for kids who play and enjoy sports. My son loves these football gloves pictured below. Football gloves are great for helping him catch the ball and to keep his hands warm on the cold windy fall evenings for games and practices.
Whatever their sport is, buy them a new ball, gloves, bat, or other sports gear and they will be sure to be smiling as they open it this holiday season:)
This is a great gift for almost any age kid (except real young kids). A fit bit will give them so much useful information plus it’s kind of fun to monitor it all.
My son uses these rechargeable headphones pictured below just about every day. He really loves them and we’ve had good with them lasting plus working well over time. Neither my son nor I have been disappointed in these headphones.
Comfortable Travel Backpack, Great for Everyday use too
I adore this travel backpack myself. I use it whenever we go to an amusement park. Read my full review of this nifty bag here.
It fits a water bottle plus contains many compartments for organization. It also offers a security pouch and cell phone pocket with earbud cord slot. I find the backpack very comfortable and useful. It’s a great buy for teen boys.
This gift might be a better fit for an older teen as they are getting ready to move away from home whether it’s college or a job. A travel wallet is a great asset to have when going on a trip.

No Spill Travel Coffee Mug
This is a no-brainer if your teenage son brings a cup of coffee to his room on weekend mornings like mine does. One slip and it’s all over the bed. A dark mess. So, give him a cool no-spill travel mug for his coffee and everyone will be happy!
This one really works to prevent spills even when tipped.
