Enjoying Red, White, and Blue food is just fun for us in the United States for the Fourth of July. It’s festive! Fun food brings smiles to faces and that’s what I strive for when I throw a party. These recipes are both kid-friendly and adult-friendly. The recipes have been popular at our parties. I know you will love them and you will find the red, white, and blue colors are so satisfying:)

Easy 4th of July Desserts in Red, White, and Blue

Berry Bomb Pop Fruit Salad

This pretty red, white, and blue salad is both sweet and fun. It’s tasty and attractive, plus it makes the day even more fun. Bomb pops are a regular at our Fourth of July celebrations, as are fruit salads, so I combined the two to make a Berry Bomb Pop Fruit Salad. Yes! I’m talking about popsicles with fruit!!!!!!

It is so very quick and simple to make this fun salad. Simply add all the ingredients in a large bowl, fruit first, then add the bomb pop popsicles in chunks. Gently stir. Serve immediately.

ingredients:

  • 2 c. cut up strawberries
  • 2 c. blueberries
  • 2 c. blackberries
  • 8 single bomb pop popsicles cut up

That’s it! Four ingredients to a festive dish that everyone will go bonkers for. They will love it!

You must serve it immediately as the popsicles will start to melt. This dish is still good once the popsicles melt however as the fruit becomes coated in popsicle juice, which is yummy! But, it’s really fun to eat it while the popsicle chunks are still present. Store leftovers in the fridge.

Easy peasy my friend!

Ingredients:

  • 4 c. strawberries, cut up
  • 2 c. whipped topping (Cool Whip®)
  • 1  gelatin box (6 ounces), blue in color with 1 1/4 c. boiling water to prepare gelatin
  • 1 c. small marshmallows

Prepare the Jello Jigglers ® recipe from the box: which is 1 1/4 c. boiling water to 6 oz. blue gelatin. Stir to dissolve, follow the directions on the package. Pour liquid gelatin into a small loaf pan and let it sit in the fridge for 3 hours. Meanwhile, cut up the strawberries into pieces for 4 c. strawberries.

Once the gelatin has set, after about 3 hours, loosen it around the edges with a knife and scoop it out onto a flat surface. Cut it into bite-size pieces. Add it to a large bowl.

Add the strawberries and marshmallows to the bowl and stir gently.

Add the whipped topping and stir gently.

Serve immediately. It is best to make it fresh and eat it fresh for the best results. Store leftovers in the fridge.

Fourth of July No-Bake Jello Bars

These are so festive too! They are also pretty and I love the side view of this treat. Isn’t it awesome?

Layered Holiday No Bake Jello bars
Layered Holiday No Bake Jello bars

These are sweet fun bars that will be a crowd pleaser at your next party. The red, white, and blue layers make this a fun dessert to enjoy on that 4th of July party or picnic. This is a very kid-friendly dessert and it’s so pretty! Adults will enjoy these sweet bars too.

Ingredients:

  • 2 Tbsp. caramel syrup
  • 1/2 c. Marshmallow Creme®
  • 1/2 c. Cool Whip®
  •  2 2/3 c. graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 c. butter, melted
  • 18 oz. gelatin packets, 2 blue (12 oz. berry blue) and 1 red ( 6 oz. cherry or strawberry)
  • 3 3/4 c. water

Directions:

Microwave 1/2 c. butter with 2 Tbsp. caramel syrup for about a minute.

Stir and pour over graham crackers crumbs.

Stir butter/caramel syrup and crumbs well to coat them.

Spray a 9×13 inch glass pan with cooking spray.

Press cracker mixture into the bottom of the pan.

Place pan flat in the freezer for about 40 minutes to freeze it.

Heat 1 1/4 c. of water to boiling and mix with the 6-ounce packet of blue gelatin. Stir until dissolved.

Pull the pan from the freezer. Cool gelatin mixture in the fridge for about five minutes then pour it over the graham cracker crust in the pan. Set the pan in the freezer on a flat surface for about 45 minutes to an hour.

Heat 1 1/4 c. water to boiling. Mix with the 6-ounce packet of red gelatin (cherry, raspberry, or strawberry). Stir gelatin packet and water until dissolved.

Remove the pan from the freezer. Set red gelatin and water mixture in the fridge to cool for about 5 minutes before pouring over the blue layer of gelatin.

Set pan flat in the freezer until frozen for about 45 minutes to an hour.

Heat 1 1/4 c. water to boiling. Mix with a packet of blue gelatin and stir well until dissolved. Cool for about five minutes in the fridge.

Set pan flat in the freezer until frozen for 45 minutes to an hour. Remove pan from freezer.

Make the topping using the marshmallow creme® and Cool Whip®. Blend with a hand mixer for about 20 seconds and spread it across the bars with a spatula.

Cut into small rectangular bars to make 30 bars.

Store the bars in the fridge if they will be served soon after they are prepared. You can store bars in the freezer for a short time until they are ready to serve, but it’s best not to let them fully freezer.

TIP: if you find the gelatin layers slide around, score the gelatin layer below with it with fork lines to help give it some grip to stay put. Also, handle as little as possible to keep the stacked gelatin layers in place.
