Hello and welcome to my website. I am an author, a lifestyle/food blogger, and a freelance writer. I also adore poetry. This is Poetry by Julie Hoag, that’s me:) Contrary to popular belief, poetry is not dead. Poetry is alive. It speaks volumes more than some whole books…at least children’s books! Ha! Kidding. Poetry is sweet sands of time living to fill in the cracks and glorify the everyday. Poetry is puns and sometimes cringe-worthy, but also littered with sparkling laughter and bitter tears. It is awkwardness and beauty all wrapped up in tight little word packages. Here is some of my poetry. Call it bad, I don’t care, it’s just for fun!

This is me. I’m a bit quirky, sometimes I’m funny. I’m a sweetheart, an angel, but I’ve got an alter ego too…not mentioning anymore on that here lol. Check out more information on my upcoming book Hungry Hearts here. My Young Adult coming of age romance novel will be coming out with Swoon Romance in 2020.

A Flowers Life

Infinite beauty buds in me for the memory these fleeting blossoms will soon grace me with…

there is glory in being short-lived but ethereal in gorgeousness…

aren’t we all but different lengths of the life of flower? #poetry

Simply Willow

Oh, how simple life must be for those who do not see the hidden meanings of a willow tree. Julie Hoag

Motherhood is a Blooming Sunflower

Sometimes the process just as beautiful as the end result…

At the birth of our children, we are birthed as a mother. Reflections of motherhood, why I'm turning into my mom and that's a good thing. Being a mom.
At the birth of our children, we are birthed as a mother.

Reflections of motherhood, why turning into my mom is a good thing.
Every stage of a flower about to bloom is beautiful, just as is every stage as a woman blooms into a mom.

Why I'm turning into my mother and that's a good thing, my reflections on Motherhood this Mother's day.
A mother in full bloom matches the beauty of her child’s face…and there is nothing more beautiful in this world than a child’s face.

Unfair Love Affair

The sweet sun was going and the lovely moon was there to gently ease her down while he rose…a neverending love affair where two beauties never get to touch. #LoveStory #LoveisBlind
