I have the best balsamic vinegar to share with you. I adore balsamic vinegar for marinating mushrooms. It’s just so very yummy! Balsamic vinegar is just such a delicious flavor by itself or when used in recipes. I was excited to recently try an aged balsamic vinegar. I enjoyed this vinegar by dipping bread in it and then I also used it in a marinade recipe for Portabella mushrooms. The marinated mushrooms were then grilled. These. Mushrooms. Were. To. Die. For. They were so very scrumptious!

This Secolari brand Sweet Garlic Balsamic vinegar is aged in Modena, Italy for eighteen years and it is combined with organic produce from California. It is an artisan vinegar and it’s the best balsamic vinegar I’ve ever had the pleasure to try. Secolari offers many different flavors of balsamic vinegar and many artisan oils too. I was excited to collaborate with Secolari for this post.

This balsamic vinegar is just bursting with amazing flavor, so it’s a true treat for our taste buds. I will be buying more of Secolari’s products because I’m very impressed with the quality, taste, and flavor. I can’t wait to try more!

Best Balsamic Vinegar in a Marinade

I can easily say this is the best balsamic vinegar I’ve used in a marinade. I used this vinegar a marinade recipe for the Portabella mushrooms and for chicken. It was so good, I can’t wait to make it again. You too can make this marinade. It’s super easy and it can be made in mere minutes. As a vegetarian, I don’t eat the meat, but my husband and boys sure enjoyed this marinated chicken.

The ingredients for this mushroom marinade include:

  • 1/2 c. Secolari Sweet Garlic Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1/4 c. olive oil
  •  3 large Portabella mushrooms caps
  • 1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 tsp. minced garlic

Stir all the ingredients together and marinate mushroom caps for about an hour and a half prior to grilling. Grill on low until cooked, for about 20-25 minutes.

It’s as easy as that and the mushrooms are absolutely amazing! The Sweet Garlic Balsamic vinegar shines through in this marinade recipe creating an amazingly delicious side dish or appetizer.

I love enjoying these mushrooms with some red wine.

Balsamic Vinegar Used in a Chicken Marinade

I also used this yummy Balsamic vinegar in a marinade for chicken tenderloins. For this recipe, I used only four ingredients, so it’s very simple.

  • 1 1/2 pounds of chicken breast tenderloins
  • 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 tsp. minced garlic
  • 1 Tbsp. honey

Marinate the chicken for about 1 1/2 hours prior to grilling. Grill on low heat until cooked through, for about thirty minutes or so turning tenderloins periodically. These marinated grilled tenderloins make a great entree alongside the marinated Portabella mushroom caps, as an appetizer for a pool party, or for backyard entertaining of guests.

Enjoying the Balsamic Vinegar with Bread

I love just soaking up this vinegar with chunks of bread as an appetizer. It’s so very amazing and easy, yet perfect. It makes an ideal appetizer to enjoy on the deck or while entertaining indoors, either way, it’s so dang delish.

I enjoy just sitting on my patio near our pool and dipping Italian bread chunks or pieces of a French baguette in a dish of this Sweet Garlic Balsamic vinegar.

Other Ways to Use this Balsamic Vinegar

It is also delicious in the morning. Take half a blueberry bagel and lay slices of avocado on the bagel. Kind of smash the avocado into the bagel a little bit, then top with pieces of fresh mozzarella cheese. Drizzle 1 Tbsp. Sweet Garlic Balsamic Vinegar over the bagel and enjoy. It’s super delicious even for breakfast!

Ingredients:

  • half of a blueberry bagel
  • half of an avocado, sliced
  • 2 slices of fresh mozzarella cheese torn into pieces
  • 1 Tbsp. Secolari Sweet Garlic Balsamic Vinegar

Here is a delicious salad recipe:

  • 1 avocado chopped up
  • kernels from one cob of sweet corn, precooked, sliced off the cob
  • 1 small tomato chopped
  • 1 small jalapeño, seeded and chopped
  • 2 Tbsp Secolari Sweet Garlic Balsamic vinegar
  • 4 slices fresh mozzarella cheese torn into pieces

Toss salad and enjoy. It’s super delicious!

Drizzle over Squash:

This vinegar is also delicious drizzled over cooked delicata squash. I suggest you cut the squash in half, scoop out the seeds and guts, and cook it at 400° for about a half hour.  Then drizzle the vinegar over it and enjoy. That’s all you need for a delicious vegetable side dish.

And more ideas:

My next conquest with this, the best Balsamic vinegar ever is to add it to a salad and Caprese, which are both giant favorites of mine. I’m a total foodie and I can’t get enough of tasting and creating yummy dishes. I think marinating some fresh mozzarella cheese in this vinegar would also be delicious, so that’s on my bucket list to try.

I totally can’t wait to try the other flavored oils and kinds of vinegar Secolari offers.
