I’m a definite coffee addict. I need my coffee every morning without fail. The best part about being a coffee drinker is that there are so many wonderful kinds of coffee available. I love supporting international coffee growers so I was thrilled to be able to try out a Guatemalan coffee from Trade Coffee Company. I adore pumpkin spice coffee, so I created a yummy recipe to use this coffee in.

This is a sponsored post I received a bag of coffee in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are 100% my own. This site uses affiliate links, please see disclaimer in menus. Thank you:)

I love trying out new flavors and brands of coffee. I adore visiting coffee shops to try out different coffee drinks. So, I was just thrilled to review this Guatemalan coffee at my home. My family adores coffee, four of the five of us drink it so we were all excited to try out the Guatemalan coffee beans from Doma called Guatemala Huehuetenango. This coffee is described as “milk chocolate, lime, molasses” best brewed as a drip coffee. It really is very delicious. This coffee is a pleasure to drink and I’m excited to introduce it to you, plus provide you with a yummy pumpkin spice coffee drink recipe. Keep reading to learn more:)

Guatemalan Coffee from a Family Farm

I just love supporting a family farm. It brings me great joy to help support a family effort when that family is running a business together. I’m all about family, so supporting the Las Americas Farm owned by the Perez family, who grows this coffee, brings me great pleasure, and even enhances my enjoyment of the coffee itself. This coffee is a medium roast level. It is very tasty and I’d definitely buy it for my family to enjoy again and again.

I love the back of the coffee bag because it has amazing inspirational words all over it, as a writer I’m obsessed with words. I really love them. This bag was fun to read.

If I get to enjoy an amazing cup of coffee and support an international family farm, I’m so very happy:) This is what I strive for in my purchasing of coffee.

Pumpkin Spice Coffee Recipe

This recipe is simple to make. It can be made for one coffee drink, or easily repeated for multiple drinks. I love how simple this recipe is because sometimes with a busy life, I just want something yummy and simple. This is a great hot coffee drink for the morning or afternoon.

The ingredients needed for this easy recipe include the following:

  • 2 Tbsp. pumpkin puree
  • 2 tsp. packed brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. cinnamon-sugar mixture
  • 2 Tbsp. heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup coffee (I use Doma Guatemala Huehuetenango)

Brew the coffee using a drip coffee maker. Mix the pumpkin puree, brown sugar, and cinnamon-sugar mixture together in a small bowl. Pour 1 cup of coffee into a coffee cup. Add the pumpkin puree mixture and stir. Add 2 Tbsp. heavy whipping cream and stir. Enjoy.

Enjoying a Good Coffee Drink is a Great Self-Care Activity

I love this coffee and coffee drink, especially in the fall when all the yummy pumpkin-flavored foods and drinks are featured. I hope you enjoy this recipe as well and coffee cheers to you. This drink is perfect for some self-care time. I love drinking a cup of coffee on my deck on a sunny fall morning. Enjoying the crisp fall morning, looking at the leaves changing color in my backyard, and sipping a sweet coffee drink is a great stress reliever. Drinking a pumpkin-flavored drink enhances the fall season for me. So very YUM!

Pumpkin Bread

My favorite combo is to have pumpkin spice coffee with pumpkin bread. It’s not pumpkin overload for me, I totally love it. My favorite recipe for pumpkin bread is Maple Cinnamon Pumpkin Bread. This bread is super easy to make and very delicious. I crave it in the fall and my whole family loves it, so it’s a great fall treat for us all.

I love seasonal food and drinks because it brings back great memories and helps me celebrate the uniqueness of the season more thoroughly and specifically. There’s nothing better than revisiting your favorites from a holiday or season, it’s like visiting a warm sweet part of your life that delivers joy and taste all at once while strengthening your love for the moment. I believe food traditions help us live in the moment even more intensely. Feel fall to the max and enjoy a cup of yummy coffee flavored with the best flavors of the season!

Love this post! We go to Guatemala every summer to do medical clinics. There is no coffee as good as the coffee we drink while we are there and bring home to drink and as gifts for our family and friends. Yum! Thank you for supporting the Guatemalan people!!
