8. Eighth installment in my Children’s Healthcare Series: This post is the birth story of my first son’s birth where my midwife led me in hypnosis for pain control during my labor. I was skeptical, but it actually worked at reducing my pain. Read my story at Amazing Powerful Hypnosis Reduced My Pain During Childbirth

Amazing Powerful Hypnosis Reduced My Pain During Childbirth. It was my first birthing experience and I never expected to use hypnosis. Using Hypnosis wasn’t in my birth plan because I really didn’t think it would work. In fact, my midwife never even mentioned it in our appointments so it wasn’t on my radar. But when she suggested we try hypnosis during labor, I agreed to try it and I was amazed how it worked to reduce my pain.

9th Installment in Children’s Healthcare Series: This a guest post written by a Maternal and Child Sleep Consultant. Her post is about her Professional Advice for Helping Your Young Child Sleep.

Professional advice and tips from a Sleep Consultant for helping your young child sleep.

10th Installment in my Children’s Healthcare Series: A guest post written by Healthy Pregnancy called The Importance of Postpartum Supplementation about the special nutritional needs for the postpartum mom and the breastfeeding mom.

There is a lot of focus on prenatal nutrition and care. However, postpartum needs are just as important. Postnatal supplementation and nutrition support the recovery process after giving birth. After the birth is the perfect time to reevaluate your nutritional needs as a new mom. A balanced diet is essential to promote your health and to provide you with the energy you’ll need to care for your new child. Drinking plenty of water, eating the right foods and taking supplements as necessary to fill in the gaps are all important components of an effective postnatal nutrition plan.
