Triscuits are truly one of my favorite crackers that are delicious by themselves, however, I wanted to try seasoning them for a tasty appetizer. The result was so delicious! These zingy crackers will be a hit at your next party or holiday get together. This appetizer is perfect for holiday parties including an appetizer to the pre-Thanksgiving meal or a holiday appetizer spread. While the holiday meal is cooking, if you are looking for a snack to set out for your guests, this is a perfect solution for you.
This recipe is kid-friendly too as one of my son’s loved these seasoned crackers as well. It is a strong flavor, so it’s not for every kid, but for kids who like mustard and zing, it’s a perfect snack/appetizer for kids too. As a mom of three boys, these are aspects I look for when deciding which apps to make (including do I like it as well:).
Mustard flavor lovers will go nuts over this recipe;)
The Ingredients List for Baked Zingy Mustard Triscuits with Spinach Dip
The ingredients needed for this appetizer are easy to find ingredients:
- Box of Triscuits® family size at 12.5 oz
- 1 stick of butter (8 Tbsp), melted
- 1/3 c. spicy brown mustard (1/4 c. if you want less of a mustard flavor)
- 1 tsp. seasoned salt (I use Lawry’s® seasoned salt)
- 1/4 tsp. onion powder
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 1 container spinach dip

The dip can be spread on individual crackers, or place the spinach dip bowl and crackers on a serving plate for dipping. I like to spread the dip across the crackers to get the full flavor of the spinach dip with the mustard. This makes it delicious, but either way works great.
The crackers last for several days so if you have leftovers, store them in a sealed container. However, if you spread dip on them already, store them in a container in the fridge. I have had success with storing these crackers with dip spread already on them in the fridge for a day or two and found them to still be fresh and tasty. Of course fresh is always best however!
Serve These Crackers up At Christmas or New Year’s Eve
I love these crackers because they are a great snack any day, but they are especially perfect for Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve when a spread of appetizers becomes the meal menu. My family often does appetizers for Christmas Eve rather than a traditional sit down meal. This allows people to graze and munch at their own pace throughout the evening.
On New Year’s Eve, when so many people offer up a table full of appetizers to guests, this will be a perfect fit. It’s a new way to eat the the classic favorite app of spinach dip. You could make your own spinach dip of course, but I often purchase it because it’s one less thing to make when I’m already making the crackers. I hope you love this new way to enjoy spinach dip!
