Want to add more veggies to your pizza? Want to add cauliflower without the taste of it overpowering the other flavors in the pizza? Try my recipe.
This Hidden Cauliflower Crust Margherita Pizza recipe is so delicious! Added hidden veggies inside the crust adds more fiber and healthy cauliflower to this pizza. For those who want the health benefits of cauliflower but dislike the flavor of it, this will be a favorite because it doesn’t have the cauliflower taste. My husband and I have tried other cauliflower crust pizzas and they are good, but not as good as this one. The cauliflower is in the crust, but it doesn’t taste like it is there. I love the added bonus of extra hidden veggies in a veggie pizza for the added health benefits. Pizza is my absolute favorite food so if I can add more veggies, that’s a win-win.
I love pizza. No, that’s a lie, I’m obsessed with pizza!

This crust is a mixture of a pizza crust packet and frozen cauliflower. The cauliflower adds bulk to the crust making it larger so it covers a 9×13 inch pan. I like this recipe because combining the two makes a bigger pizza without having to use two pizza crust packets. This cooking hack reduces the carbs of the pizza while keeping the crust tasting more like a true pizza crust.
The ingredients for this pizza include the following.
- Bird’s Eye® riced cauliflower with lightly sauced Italian cheese
- fresh basil leaves
- Ragu® pizza sauce
- Betty Crocker® Pizza crust mix
- shredded mozzarella cheese
- shredded parmesan cheese
- baby bella mushrooms
- tomato slices
Using the Bird’s Eye riced cauliflower with lightly sauced Italian cheese also adds more delicious cheese flavor to the crust. This adds to the overall flavor of the pizza and makes it so tasty. I love margherita pizza for the combo of the fresh tomato and basil. The mushrooms add an extra layer of flavor to this pizza making it super delicious.

Alternative Recipe Options, make it a Hybrid Meal
This pizza recipe is vegetarian however meat could be added for those who must have meat on their pizza. Pieces of already cooked sausage or chicken would be great additions to the pizza for meat-eaters. The beauty of pizza is it can be a hybrid meal, customized to each person’s taste by making sections with meat and sections meatless. Add 3/4 cup cooked chicken to half the pizza for meat lovers.
My kids usually opt for simple cheese pizza. This makes a tasty cheese only pizza, and the fantastic secret is there are still veggies hidden in the crust. Perfect for the kid, or adult, who hates to eat veggies. They won’t even notice the cauliflower is in the recipe. Sometimes I have to be a sneaky mom to get vegetables into my kids.
