Course Bread
Cuisine American
- 5 cups white flour
- 4 Tbsp instant dry milk
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 12 Tbsp butter, melted divided: 3 Tbsp. for bread, 9 Tbsp. for dipping
- 1/2 cup cinamon sugar or mix your own cinnamon and sugar together
- 1 2/3 cup water add extra if needed
Combine all dry ingredients together in a bowl: 5 c. white flour, 4 Tbsp. instant dry milk, 1 tsp. salt, 2 Tsp. baking powder, 1/2 c. cinnamon sugar. Stir well.
Add 1 2/3 cup water and 3 Tbsp. melted butter. Stir well. Knead until forms a dough ball. Add extra water or flour as needed to achieve the right consistency where the dough doesn't stick to fingers and does not fall off the roasting sticks. Grab a small dough ball and stretch out the dough into a long strand. Next, wrap it around the roasting stick starting low and wrapping towards tips.
Flatten dough as much as possible with your fingers.
Cook bread, rotating, until golden on all sides. Cook over white coals rather than flame for the best results. Dip cooked breadstick in melted butter to enjoy.
