Easy Homemade Granola Recipe Seeds and Nuts
Do you love granola? I'm excited to share my recipe for Easy Homemade Granola, a recipe made with seeds and nuts. This granola recipe is baked in the oven and allowed to cool which makes it a crunchy granola. It is delicious for breakfast with milk over it. It is made with oats, wheat germ, sunflower seeds, brown sugar, sesame seeds, pepitas, almonds, whole grain whole wheat flour, honey, olive oil, water, and coconut oil. It is delicious!

- 1 1/2 cups oats old fashioned whole grain oats
- 1/2 cup wheat germ original toasted
- 1/4 cup sunflower seeds dry roasted with sea salt
- 1/4 cup brown sugar packed
- 2 Tablespoons sesame seeds, toasted
- 2/3 cup pepitas roasted and salted
- 1/2 cup almonds, slivered
- 1/2 cup whole wheat flour 100% whole grain
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil
Mix the dry ingredients together: 1 1/2 c. oats, 1/2 c. wheat germ, 1/4 c. sunflower seeds, 1/4 c. packed brown sugar, 2 Tbsp. sesame seeds, 2/3 c. pepitas, 1/2 c. slivered almonds, & 1/2 c. whole wheat flour. Stir well. Mash up any brown sugar clumps.
Mix 1/2 c. honey and 1/4 c. olive oil. Stir it as best as you can, it doesn't mix together well. Pour over dry ingredients and stir and mash to moisten. Add 1/4 c. cold water slowly, stirring between additions until all has been added.
Grease a cookie sheet pan with 1 tsp. coconut oil. Spread granola flat across the pan. Bake at 225 degrees for 2 hours, stirring every 15 minutes. Then bake 30 more minutes. Allow to cool for 1 hour and 45 minutes to 2 hours in the oven. Once cooled, store in a sealed container.
