Recently I took my kids to Valleyfair for the day, but before we headed to the amusement park, we drove a bit further south to visit a candy store. It was not just any candy store. It was a giant candy store! We adored visiting Minnesota’s Largest Candy Store. The candy store is located about twenty minutes south of Valleyfair in Jordan, Minnesota. I thought we would be in there for a short fifteen stop, um yeah, I was so wrong. We spent about forty-five minutes in there and we could have spent even more time looking because they have so many unique and awesome foods to peruse. I was thoroughly amazed at all the choices inside that fun yellow building.

Minnesota’s Largest Candy Store
**HINT: Be sure to bring enough cash as they are a cash only store, however, I did see a cash machine in the store.
We pulled up to this highly distinctive bright long yellow building with a silo-shaped round section on one end. True to Minnesota, there was a field of cattails behind the parking lot. The building is so very yellow, you can’t miss it as you drive along Johnson Memorial Drive.
STATS:
The address for Minnesota’s Largest Candy Store is 20430 Johnson Memorial Drive. It is open from mid-May to November. It’s a part of Jim’s Apple Farm which has been “family owned and operated” since the 1930s, according to their Facebook page..The candy store part has been around for thirty-eight years. The store sells a wide variety of different types of foods and not just candy either. This surprised me a lot as I thought it would be all just candy for sale there. Many of the products are local, but another fun thing about the store is the section that categorizes the candy based on the country it’s from.
Some of the different types of foods I saw included:
- salsas
- meats
- cheeses
- sauces and hot sauces
- jellies, pepper jelly, jam
- beef sticks
- olives
- fun shaped and colored pastas
- cheese curd batter mix
- baked goods mixes
- soup mixes
- muffins
- flavored sodas
- homemade fudge
- dark chocolate coated potato chips
- flavored and colored popcorn
- beer bread mixes
- various batter mixes
- flavored dipping oils
- snacks, pretzels
- & more
The decor inside is very colorful, bright, and fun. It includes many popular characters such as Spiderman and Ironman as well as Disney characters. The murals painted on the ceiling of the building are beautiful.

I have many fun pictures to share. It’s a very interesting store to walk through, plus they had polka music playing, lol.
I want to know if those Lego candies really fit together…lol. It would be fun to buy these candies just to find out!
Big giant candy on display!
Gross Gummies My Boys Would Love to Eat
Okay…this candy snake really gives me the willies! Like gag me…ugh…but my boys adore this kind of thing. I’m a boy mom so I expect this, but, really? Yuck.
More gross gummy candy here as a brain and skull. They sell many non-gross gummy candies as well.
My youngest son got a smaller version of the gummy snake and ate it happily with a smile on his face while I gagged. Ah, being a mom of boys, I tell ya!
There are LOTS and LOTS of taffy flavors. So many yummy treats at Minnesota’s Largest Candy Store in Jordan.
And now for some pics of the many non-candy food items they have for sale.
Because my family adores cheese curds (especially at the Minnesota State Fair…best fair ever). I purchased some cheese curd batter mix at the store. I just bought some cheese curds at the grocery store so I can’t wait to try out the mix.
Fun Shaped Pasta!
Some of the items were really fun such as the wide variety of pasta. They offer different shapes and colors of noodles. It would be fun to shop here every week to try out all their stuff. I totally want to try these chocolate dipped potato chips:) I need to bring more money next time. We spent almost sixty dollars and I wished I had brought more. It’s hard because they only accept cash, so be sure to bring enough to buy those one-of-a-kind items you can’t find anywhere else.
